One fine morning in spring, hairstylist Emilie (Audrey Tautou) receives a love letter, beautiful, inspiring but anonymous. She throws it in the trash at first, without knowing that it can be the key to save her mother (Natalie Baya), who is self-isolated and depressive since her husband left. Without too much thinking, she sends the letter to her mother. But Emilie doesn't know yet the author of the letter is actually Jean, her shy staff in the hair salon.
